Journal of Phonetics
The ''Journal of Phonetics'' is a peer-reviewed academic journal that covers topics in phonetics and phonology. It was established in 1973 and appears four times a year. It is published by Elsevier and the current editor-in-chief is Kenneth de Jong (Indiana University).
== Aims and scope ==
The journal covers a wide scope of topics, including both auditory, acoustic, and articulatory phonetics, as well as the relation between phonetics and phonology. Phonetics-related aspects of foreign language acquisition are also covered, as well as pathological and technological issues.〔

The journal publishes both theoretical and experimental papers, as well as review articles and letters to the editor. Special thematic issues are published occasionally.
